Rainbows February News:

The Rainbows are having a wonderful time this winter.  We are missing playing outside a little, but we are having fun dancing, running, jumping, and playing ball.  We love dancing with our bean bag friends.

We are going to start off the month by learning about Valentine’s Day.  We are going to paint large hearts on the easel and stuff them full of newspaper.  They will look like heart pillows.   

We have been talking to the children about treating everyone with kindness. They have been very caring towards the children in the classroom. We will be discussing a beautiful story that will help the kindness message along called the Good Samaritan.

We will also be starting our “I am special” unit.  We have asked everyone to bring in a family photo for a craft; we will need the photo by Feb 3^rd.   We will be making pictures of our families and our homes. We will also be learning how much we weigh and how tall we are.  The big focus will be how special we are to God.  Our bible story will be about Jesus and the little children. We can’t wait for that story.

We are looking forward to our Valentine Day party, we are so lucky to have great room parents.  Our parties are always so much fun; of course we love the snacks.
